Off Grid Sites
Off grid is where the height of the pole does the most work.
Each of the three pieces below does a different job, and where you put it decides how well the next one works.
The Outside AntennaReceives signal from distant cell towers and passes it over a cable to the amplifier.
The AmplifierReceives the signal from the outside antenna, boosts it significantly, then passes it to the inside antenna.
The Inside AntennaBroadcasts the boosted signal throughout the space for clear calls, reliable texts, and fast data.
The booster also works in reverse. The inside antenna receives signal from the devices in the vehicle, the amp boosts it up, and then the outside antenna broadcasts the strong signal back to the distant cell towers. This gives you a strong, reliable two-way connection to the cell tower.
How much coverage you get depends on the signal you already have outside. The stronger it is out there, the farther the boosted signal carries inside.
10 minutes covers a setup once you have the routine down. Budget more for the first one.
Level the RV Before Anything Else
The jacks go down and the chocks go in first, because the pole does not go up on an RV that can still move. Once the pole is mounted, the RV stays where it is until the pole comes back down.
Mount the Antenna to the Pole and Stick the Wall Mounts On
The directional antenna bolts to the top of the pole with its bracket, and the 30 foot cable connects there. The two wall mounts are adhesive, so the side of the RV has to be clean and smooth, and they need about 20 minutes to cure.
Raise the Pole and Aim It
Each section twists counterclockwise, extends, then locks with a clockwise turn. Leave at least 4 feet between the upper and lower pole feet, check for power lines and anything else overhead before you extend, and use an app like Opensignal to point the antenna toward the nearest tower.
Run the Cable In and Set the Booster
The cable comes in through a slide out gasket or the back door of a toy hauler, and there is a flat entry cable in the box for a window or a door. The booster slides onto its bracket in a cabinet near an outlet, and it runs off the included power supply or the hardwire supply if you would rather wire it in.
Put the Inside Antenna Well Below the Outside One
Leave at least 20 feet of vertical distance between the two antennas and keep the inside antenna clear of the booster itself, because that separation is what keeps the light green instead of red. Mount it at least 8 inches from where anyone sits.

Everything out of the box is nicely labeled and organized. Directions were easy to read and set up/installation took about 30 minutes. Immediate results with signal boost inside our RV. The signal remained strong 95% of the time. We did have some decreased signal during a rain storm, but otherwise we are satisfied with the booster and we are glad to have it!
Instantly went from 1 bar (when standing on my head and facing 3 degrees W) to 4-5 bars. We have a small remote (400 sq ft) cabin that is off grid ,except for a few solar panels and a generator, and a camper. Wanted something I could use for both purposes. The option of 12 volt and 110 makes this perfect. I work online and this allows me to join video meetings using my hotspot. Wish I had done this earlier.

Product received promptly and in excellant condition. Boxing and protection of product fantastic and above expectations. Installation instruction clear and straight forward. Utilized satellite input connection to pipe antenna feed into trailer. Improvement of both AT&T and Verizon signals fron one bar to four. Recommend wind load limits on masting for use in high wind areas (southwest).
We go camping 4 or 5 times a year to a campground by the creek..it is in a very low bottom with no cell phone reception..i bought a cell phone booster with an omni directional antenna 2 years ago…it kinda worked sometimes but not very good. Last weekend ii set up this antenna with the directional antenna and had full signal strength inside the camper. Worked very well with hot spot on phone and ruko stick for tv.
Installation was easy after I put it up temporary and sat in the trailer for a while. I had to think through things for the best place to put in every thing but it worked out great. Needed to cut down some of the coax cables so I didn't have wire all over the place. The booster didn't work where I was camped but that's because there is no signal at all up in the canyon that I'm in. Next year I camp more in the open. Can't get television reception either.
My husband set up the system on our Travel Trailer. He tested it in an area where he had 1/2 a bar of service and got 4 bars. He called me to test it and the call quality was excellent. We want to use this when we are camping away from everything and we aren't going for another month so we won't know for sure if it does what we need until then. We are hopeful. The set up and instructions were clear but it did take a couple hours to get it totally up and running the first time. The antenna goes very high in the air so can't be used if it's windy or if there are trees around. A little confusing on pointing all the equipment in the right directions, but we think it will get easier with practice.

Great booster. We're on the Frio River and have 1-2 bars outside the camper. We hooked up the booster and now have 4 bars inside the camper! Works great! I do wish there was an easier way to extend the antenna.
