Product Overview

Work Truck by weBoost makes your truck feel connected everywhere you take it. Morning check ins go through. Maps and work apps stay live when you turn off the highway. If plans change, dispatch reaches everyone in the cab instead of playing call tag.

Under the hood it runs on the Drive Reach amplifier and a purpose built truck mount that holds its angle and takes a beating, so performance holds up on rough routes and long days.

It also fits life outside a daily work route. Use the twelve volt plug for quick trips or hardwire it for an ignition controlled build. Fold the mount for garages and low clearances. Pop the whip off in seconds with the quick disconnect when you are back in town.

No subscriptions. No maintenance. Just reliable coverage for full time crews and for pickups that do double duty.

Coverage Area & Supported Carriers

The strength of your outside signal, measured where you mount the antenna, affects how much indoor coverage the system provides. Use the chart below for general guidance:

Coverage Estimates

  • Strong (5 Bars): Up to 6 feet from the inside antenna
  • Medium (3 to 4 Bars): A few feet away
  • Weak (1 to 2 Bars): Around 18 inches
  • None (0 Bars): No coverage

Please note: Many factors impact indoor coverage, so results may vary.

Supported Devices

  • All phones, hotspots, tablets, and other cellular devices

Supported Networks

  • 4G LTE and 5G on FCC approved bands

Frequencies Boosted

  • Band 12 - 700 MHz
  • Band 13 - 700 MHz
  • Band 17 - 700 MHz
  • Band 5 - 850 MHz
  • Band 4 - 1700 and 2100 MHz

Note

  • This booster may not work in many countries in Europe, Asia, or Africa due to different frequency bands

Installation Overview

Start with the outside antenna. Pick a spot that lets the antenna body sit above the cab line and any racks, ladders, or materials on top of the truck. The higher line of sight is what lets the booster do its job. If you are mounting behind the cab or on a service body, use the included 4 inch or 13 inch mast extensions and the spring to raise the antenna as needed. Apply thread locker only on the metal threads and keep it off the plastic antenna body.

Mounting options are flexible. The folding mount can secure at many angles including horizontal for low clearances. Use it on flat surfaces like a toolbox lid, on T track racks, or on 1.0 to 1.25 inch poles such as roof rails and ladders. The base plate rotates to help with alignment. When you run it in the horizontal position, add the stabilizer arm and zip ties so the assembly does not move. Note that some rack channels may need M6 nuts.

Use the quick release when you need to remove or reinstall the outside antenna. Pull the collar up to release or lock it. If it ever feels lodged, a light press or a small rotation frees it up.

Route the outside cable cleanly into the cab. The easiest method is under a door seal and along the threshold trim. Do not route near any airbags.

Place the inside antenna where the phone lives. Mount it on the dash or seat side. Keep the phone about 18 to 36 inches from the inside antenna for best results. Avoid any airbag zones.

Choose a booster location with airflow. The included bracket works with screws, Velcro strips, or zip ties. Behind or under a seat is common. Connect the outside cable to the port labeled Outside Antenna and the inside cable to the port labeled Inside Antenna.

Power and wiring are straightforward. For a fast setup, plug the 12 volt cord into a live port and switch it on. If your 12 volt port stays powered when the truck is off and you will park for a long time, switch the cord off so you do not drain the battery. For a cleaner build, use the hardwire harness. Keep power components away from heat and water and leave room for ventilation.

Daily use tips from the field. For low clearances or tight sites, fold the mount and secure the antenna horizontally with the stabilizer arm and zip ties. Before any automatic car wash, remove the outside antenna to prevent damage. If you ever see a red light, add more distance between the outside and inside antennas, then power cycle the booster. Horizontal separation usually needs less distance than vertical.
