When police, fire, or EMS are working inside a hospital, a school, an office, or anywhere else indoors, the signal their phones had outside often fades room by room, and an emergency is the worst possible time for a call to drop or a text to fail. The WilsonPro 140i is an amplifier that brings FirstNet, the nationwide network built for first responders, into buildings like these by boosting Band 14, the part of the 700 MHz spectrum set aside for public safety.
Once the 140i is installed, a responder on an upper floor or down in the basement keeps a strong FirstNet connection as they move through the building. Calls go through, texts arrive as soon as they are sent, and the apps that use a lot of data, like body camera video and live maps, keep working the whole way in. It carries both 4G LTE and 5G on Band 14 and works with the high power devices (known as HPUE) that FirstNet supports, and its digital filtering keeps it from interfering with the services on neighboring frequencies.
About Band 14
Band 14 is its own slice of spectrum, and it is all the 140i boosts. WilsonPro's wideband Enterprise 1300, 3300, and 4300 boosters, which bring everyday carrier signal indoors, leave Band 14 out, so adding a 140i where one of them is already installed gives FirstNet an amplifier of its own. When FirstNet coverage is the only need, the 140i can also go in with no other booster in the building.
Capacity
A single 140i supports up to 128 users at once and covers up to 100,000 square feet as long as there is strong Band 14 signal outside the building, and as part of a Zinwave hybrid DAS or a public safety DAS it can extend FirstNet coverage to as much as 500,000 square feet.
140i Versions
The 140i comes in two versions that boost Band 14 the same way.

SKU 462074 is Cloud capable, which means it can connect to WilsonPro Cloud, Wilson's remote monitoring service, so the person responsible for the building can check on the amplifier without walking to wherever it is mounted.
- SKU 460074 is the standard version, and it is the right choice when that remote view is not something you need. Either way, the amplifier and its power supply are the starting point, and the outside antenna, the inside antennas, and the cable are chosen to fit your building.
Carrier Approval
The 140i is certified under the FCC's rules for industrial signal boosters, so it needs carrier approval before it goes into service. If first responders need to stay connected inside your building, the 140i is the amplifier we recommend for FirstNet coverage, and a free consultation and system design will show you which version fits and what the finished system costs.
