Signal Booster

Noun

A signal booster is an electronic device designed to improve 4G, LTE, and 5G networks. By doing so, signal boosters enhance signal strength, and improve call quality and data speeds.

Signal boosters are essential in situations where you have limited or unstable network access. For example, if you can access your cellular network outside your home or office, but have poor or no signal inside. Or even if you have a weak signal both indoors and outside.

A signal booster will help fix these situations by pulling in the existing signal, amplifying it, and then retransmitting it into desired areas.

There are different kinds of signal boosters designed for different needs. These include:

  • In-building signal boosters: These are designed to improve connectivity and signal availability in homes, offices, and commercial buildings.
  • Vehicle signal boosters: These are designed to improve connectivity on the go, in cars, trucks, RVs, and boats.

Note: Signal boosters require some signal to work, even if it’s weak. They cannot enhance a signal if it doesn't exist.

Example of Signal Booster in a sentence
