How to Choose the Right Antennas for Your Booster
Outside Antennas:
- Yagi Directional Antenna: This antenna is more powerful because it focuses on sending and receiving signals in one direction. It works best when there are no major obstacles blocking its path to the cell tower. It's not ideal for areas with large obstructions like hills or buildings.
- Omni Antenna: This antenna sends and receives in all directions, so it's better for hilly areas or if you need to support multiple carriers with towers in different directions. It doesn’t need to be aimed, but it also isn’t as strong as the Yagi antenna.
- High Gain LPDA Antenna: Perfect for areas with very weak signals, this antenna significantly boosts signal strength. It needs a clear line of sight to the cell tower and requires a sturdy mount because of its size.
Inside Antennas:
- Panel Antenna: Can be placed on walls or ceilings and directs the signal towards a specific area. This antenna is great for homes and tall ceilings in buildings.
- Standard Dome Antenna: Designed to mounted on the ceiling, this antenna spreads the signal evenly throughout the area. It's best suited for drop ceilings or spaces where cables can be run above the ceiling.
- Ultra-Thin Dome Antenna: This slim antenna also mounts to the ceiling, but is much is less noticeable. It's much stronger than a standard dome antenna, making it a great choice for places where both looks and signal strength are important.
Tips for Choosing:
- Choose Omni Antennas for general coverage with no aiming required.
- Choose Directional Antennas (Yagi or LPDA) when you can point directly at a cell tower and need stronger signal and more inside coverage.
- Interior Size Considerations: One antenna per 750-1,500 sq ft in homes, or 1,500-2,500 sq ft in open spaces like offices and warehouses.

The weBoost 470354 Drive Reach RV Kit is the best solution for people who need to boost signal in a large vehicle, like an RV, Motorhome, 5th-Wheel, etc, and need reliable voice calls and fast data. The weBoost 470354 Drive Reach RV Kit uses the most powerful vehicle cellular amplifier on the market, the Drive Reach, to boost cell signal coming into the vehicle, but more importantly, amplifies it significantly back to the distant cell towers, so you can be as far as possible and still get quality cell signal. The Drive Reach amplifier enables you to be 2x further from the cell towers than its predecessor, the Drive 4G-X.
The Reach RV Kit boosts the 2G, 3G, 4G HSPA+, 4G LTE and 5G networks from the major carriers in North America, so you have reliable calls and fast data speeds wherever you travel. The weBoost 470354 Drive Reach broadcasts boosted signal wirelessly, so multiple phones and data devices can receive boosted signal at the same time.
Coverage Inside of the Vehicle
The inside coverage area that you receive from the weBoost Drive Reach RV Kit will depend on the existing outside signal strength in the location where you're traveling or parked. In areas where you get a moderate existing outside signal, the system will provide a boosted signal up to 6 ft from the inside antenna. As the outside signal gets weaker, the coverage area will shrink, until the point where you may have to keep your phone within about 18 inches from the inside antenna to take advantage of the boosted signal.
The ideal way to talk on the phone while moving around the vehicle would be to keep your phone near the inside antenna and use a bluetooth headset or speakerphone for mobility. Hotspots can also be left near the inside antenna giving you the fastest internet speeds possible while providing WiFi connectivity throughout the RV or large vehicle.
Supported Carriers
The weBoost 470354 Drive Reach RV Kit supports the Voice, 3G, and 4G LTE networks from all major carriers in North America. It does not support any WiMAX or iDEN networks.
- AT&T 2G, 3G, 4G HSPA+, 4G LTE & 5G
- Verizon 2G, 3G, 4G LTE & 5G
- Sprint 2G, 3G & 4G LTE
- T-Mobile 2G, 3G, 4G HSPA+ & 4G LTE
- US Cellular 2G, 3G & 4G LTE
- All other carriers using 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1900 MHz, and AWS 1700/2100 MHz frequencies
Please Note: This signal booster kit will not work in most European, Asian, and African countries because the frequencies used there are different than those boosted by this equipment.

Installation Overview
Installing the weBoost 470354 Drive Reach RV kit is very easy and can usually be done in just a few minutes.
To start, mount the RV Antenna on the exterior of the vehicle using the included 3-way mount, and ensure that the antenna extends above the vehicle for a clear, 360 degree view. Run the 25 ft RG6 cable into the vehicle and connect the included adapter, then connect the cable to the amplifier's Outside Antenna port. If you have the standard base kit, then connect the included desktop antenna to the inside port of the amplifier, and locate the antenna in the area where you need signal the most.
If you have purchased the upgraded panel antenna, then connect the 970019 adapter to the inside antenna cable, and then connect to the Inside Antenna port of the amplifier. Run the cable to the location where you plan to mount the inside antenna, and connect the inside panel antenna. You can mount the inside panel antenna to either the ceiling or the wall in the location where you'll be using your mobile devices the most. Power on the amplifier and you should immediately start receiving boosted signal.
