How to Choose the Right Antennas for Your Booster
Outside Antennas:
- Yagi Directional Antenna: This antenna is more powerful because it focuses on sending and receiving signals in one direction. It works best when there are no major obstacles blocking its path to the cell tower. It's not ideal for areas with large obstructions like hills or buildings.
- Omni Antenna: This antenna sends and receives in all directions, so it's better for hilly areas or if you need to support multiple carriers with towers in different directions. It doesn’t need to be aimed, but it also isn’t as strong as the Yagi antenna.
- High Gain LPDA Antenna: Perfect for areas with very weak signals, this antenna significantly boosts signal strength. It needs a clear line of sight to the cell tower and requires a sturdy mount because of its size.
Inside Antennas:
- Panel Antenna: Can be placed on walls or ceilings and directs the signal towards a specific area. This antenna is great for homes and tall ceilings in buildings.
- Standard Dome Antenna: Designed to mounted on the ceiling, this antenna spreads the signal evenly throughout the area. It's best suited for drop ceilings or spaces where cables can be run above the ceiling.
- Ultra-Thin Dome Antenna: This slim antenna also mounts to the ceiling, but is much is less noticeable. It's much stronger than a standard dome antenna, making it a great choice for places where both looks and signal strength are important.
Tips for Choosing:
- Choose Omni Antennas for general coverage with no aiming required.
- Choose Directional Antennas (Yagi or LPDA) when you can point directly at a cell tower and need stronger signal and more inside coverage.
- Interior Size Considerations: One antenna per 750-1,500 sq ft in homes, or 1,500-2,500 sq ft in open spaces like offices and warehouses.

Product Information
The weBoost Home MultiRoom (470144) is the ideal solution for homes that require better signal in some of the rooms, but don't need our most powerful home system to cover the entire house.
If you have a strong existing outside signal, then the Home MultiRoom can cover up to 5,000 sq ft inside of your house, but will cover less if the outside signal is weaker or there are internal walls or other obstacles. It will simultaneously boost all of the networks (2G, 3G, 4G LTE, & 5G) from all of the major carriers in North America, to give you fast data and reliable calling.
The weBoost 470144 Home MultiRoom now has an improved design aesthetic, so the antennas and amplifier look better when installed in your home, and the uplink and downlink powers have been increased, so you can use the Home MultiRoom in even more rural areas or in locations with a strong existing outside signal.
Coverage Area
Many variables impact the total coverage area of a signal booster system. The following are estimates only and may not be accurate in any individual situation.
- If you have an existing strong 5-bar outside signal, you may get up to 5,000 sq ft of coverage inside*
- If you have an existing 3 to 4-bar (-90 dB) outside signal, you may get up to 3,500 sq ft of coverage inside*
- If you have an existing 1 to 2-bar (-100 dB) outside signal, you may get up to 1,000 sq ft of coverage inside*
Need More Coverage? The weBoost 100 is the more powerful alternative to the weBoost Home MultiRoom and can provide up to 15,000 sq ft of coverage with a strong outside signal.
Supported Carriers
The weBoost 470144 Home MultiRoom supports the 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and 5G networks from virtually all carriers in the United States and Canada. For other locations, please consult the frequencies listed below to see if this product will work for you.
- AT&T 2G, 3G, 4G HSPA+, 4G LTE & 5G
- Verizon 2G, 3G, 4G LTE & 5G
- Sprint 2G, 3G & 4G LTE
- T-Mobile 2G, 3G, 4G HSPA+ & 4G LTE
- US Cellular 2G, 3G & 4G LTE
- All other carriers using 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1900 MHz, and AWS 1700/2100 MHz frequencies
Please Note: This signal booster kit will not work in most European, Asian, and African countries because the frequencies used there are different than those boosted by this equipment.

Accessories
We recommend a lightning protector kit for all installations in areas that have lightning or thunderstorms. The lightning protector has a gas discharge element that severs the connection to the amplifier if the outside antenna is struck by lightning.
The included directional outside antenna comes with mounting hardware for a pole. If you don't have an existing pole to mount the antenna to, you should also include 901117 Pole Mounting Assembly.
Installation Overview
The weBoost Home MultiRoom has been redesigned to be even easier to install than the previous version, so anyone who's a bit handy should be able to do it. If you're not comfortable getting up on your roof to mount an antenna, then it may be best to find an Audio Visual installer or a handy friend. We also always recommend doing a soft install where you don't permanently mount anything or drill any holes until you know the system will work for you and you've identified the best locations for the antennas. To install, just follow these 4 steps:
- Find a place on the roof of your home to mount the outside antenna. Connect the 30 ft. RG6 coax cable to the antenna and run it into the building.
- With the cable inside, connect it to a lighting protector (if purchased), and then to the amplifier. Connect one of the 15 ft. RG6 cables to the inside antenna port on amplifier and then connect the inside antenna.
- Plug in the amplifier and check for any error lights. For any errors, consult the manual or contact us for help.
- Aim the directional outside antenna for best results, checking the signal strength inside and adjusting as needed.
The included manual is very helpful and we recommend reading through it before beginning the installation. If you run into any issues, feel free to contact us for help.

* The actual coverage area of a signal booster is dependent on many factors including existing outside signal strength, obstructions between you and the cell tower, the materials used in your home or office, the layout of the area you need to cover with a boosted signal, and other factors. The approximate coverage areas listed above are estimates. Actual coverage area will vary based on these and other factors. If you're not sure if a system will be powerful enough for your needs, contact us to find out.
